- Is the hostel in the city centre?
- Yes! The hostel is situated smack bang in the city centre a close walk to all shopping areas as well as the liveliest nightlife areas – we are the closest hostel to the train station and bus station, save your legs!
- Are any bedrooms ensuite?
- Yes! All of our rooms have lovely, big, clean and sparkling bathrooms.
- Is breakfast included in the price?
- Yes! A light breakfast is included in the price and is served between 07.30hrs and 10.00hrs daily. Alternatively, you can use our self–catering kitchen to prepare your own food which is open 24 hours a day and help yourself to our Fair–trade tea and coffee.
- Is linen included?
- Yes! All bed linen is included. You are advised to bring your own towels but we do have towels to rent for a very small fee if you forget to bring one.
- Are safekeeping facilities are provided?
- Yes! We provide safekeeping for small items at reception and recommend that guests use this facility as the hostel cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen. We also have secure, lockable luggage storage for all your large items.
- Are left-luggage facilities provided?
- Yes! We provide a secure, locked baggage room which is accessible all day – just ask a member of staff.
- What are the check in and check out times?
- Guest can check in at any time after 14.00hrs and they must check out before 11.00hrs.
- Does the hostel have a curfew?
- No, there is no curfew at The Hatters. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day.
- Is there a lock out?
- No, once checked in guests have access to their room 24 hours a day.
- What methods of payment are accepted?
- We accept cash, credit cards (Mastercard and Visa) and travellers cheques only. When making a reservation either a deposit or credit card number is required to guarantee the reservation.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- For individual reservations the cancellation policy is 24 hours. For groups, we require the first nights accommodation prepaid as deposit. This is non-refundable. Any group cancellations must be made in writing 14 days before the arrival date of the group.
- Do I have to be a member?
- There is no membership fee involved as we are an independently owned hostel. To stay at The Hatters all you require is current photo identification.
